Hot House Ceramics is a working pottery studio and gallery were visitors can view and purchase a varied range of ceramics made by potters Lesley & Terry Nason. All of the pottery is made on site, so visitors can also watch the work being created.
Lesley is a trained designer who worked in the fashion industry for 18 years, before discovering clay around 10 years ago. For the last 8 years she has been working as a full time ceramic artist selling her work through fairs and events and suppling many galleries and gift shops throughout the whole of the UK with her creations. Lesley hand builds with porcelain, creating wall art, decorative vessels and jewellery inspired by the beauty of the British landscape, flora & fauna.
Terry’s background was in the engineering industry, he has recently discovered his love for clay and throwing on the wheel. He produces a wide range of functional stoneware pottery, all thrown on the wheel, finished in beautiful multicoloured glazes. Ranging from small mugs and plates to large vases, bowls, jugs and lamps.
